Charlatan VSTi
Charlatan is a polyphonic, subtractive virtual analog (VA) software synthesizer plugin whose design focuses on sound quality and easy usability. The design philosophy was to provide a feature set just large enough to cover a wide range of sounds rather than an infinite number of parameters and modulation options cluttering the user interface and distracting from the creative process. The Pilgrim VST
It has a highpass & lowpass filter programmed into one dial, and allows a seamless sweep between the two. It works similar to the 'Pioneer DJM' mixers, albeit with a little extra functionality: a wet/dry dial which can also be used as a basic equaliser/shelf filter. TB EZQ is a zero-latency, VST implementation of the work by Andrew Sabin and Bryan Pardo from the interactive audio lab at Northwestern University, IL, USA. They developed a method to automatically map common equalization manipulations involving multiple equalizer controls onto descriptive terms such as ‘warm’, ‘dark’ and ‘bright’. These descriptive labels can subsequently be placed onto a 2-dimensional space, in which each point represents a certain amount of ‘warmth’, ‘darkness’, and ‘brightness’.The free trial version bundle includes EZQ free!
