Sinevibes Sample Collection

Sinevibes decided to offer as freeware the entire sample collection, since they are focused on developing their unique software.

It includes several hundred completely original sounds created using some of the most amazing hardware and software tools such as Roland Fantom-G and V-Synth, Native Instruments MASSIVE, iZotope Spectron, Spectrasonics Omnisphere plus rare analogs like Polivoks and Krok 2401.

The package is 188 MB ZIP and contains:

Ambisphere: 90 seamlessly-looping ambient and atmospheric sounds;
Beats: 100 beat and rhythmic effect loops;
Motions: 100 synth and bass loops;
Vocoder: 79 vocoder loops and single sounds.

1800 Cymbal Samples

Tzai released a free collection of 1800 cymbal samples recorded in 24Bit WAV format, using various equipment.

I've been sampling and gathering samples since . . . well . . . I had a Mac SE, Performer v2, Emu, Mirage, Roland S-550, Akai S900, and Passport Alchemy . . . so that gives you and idea of how long. I did my best to weed out the dupes and anything that was copy-protected in anyway.

I discovered recently a secret page on XARC Mastering's site, a page containing 70 high quality and... of course- mastered :) kick samples.

On this secret page I am going to share with you my unique collecion of Trance / Dance / Eurodance / Rave / Hardcore Kicks (Bassdrums). It´s a collection of over 70 kicks, 80% of them are selfmade or heavily modified. You´ll like them, I am sure.

You can get them for free here and can share them with your producer friends. All I am asking is that you send them to this site for downloading and if you spread the word about XARC a bit as well, I won´t be unhappy of course.

All samples are totally free, you can use them in techno, electro, trance, rave etc- you'll find 'em a great use in your music. Have fun!

FreeST Virtual Organs

Bob Leggitt has released a set of four free VST instruments called FreeST Virtual Organs, available for download on his site.

I need to make clear first of all (what with this site having such a high spoof content), that these are genuine free VST instruments. Virtual organs for musicians who create and record using a VST host and are looking for some retro keyboard sounds. As I write this they're brand new and not available elsewhere. I plan to add more in the near future, so if you're interested, please keep an eye on this page.

The set consists of four vintage organ plugins:

VSTX3- Korg CX3-style analogue tonewheel simulator with added 'outboard' rotary & chorus;
The Nash- late '70s / early '80s-style home organ with drawbars and effects;
The Rawgan- versatile combo organ / analogue synth hybrid with assignable drawbar tones;
VSTV1- a basic '60s organ.

352 Chillout Loops

MusicRadar has released 352 free chillout samples, a free loop pack previously featured on Future Music magazine's cover DVD.

SampleRadar has had a bit of a week of it, so today's sample collection is designed to lower the stress levels and calm things down.
That's right: we're entering the blissful world of chillout: set the speedometer to 90bpm and relax.

All loops are in high quality WAV format. The collection is split in four folders: bass, drums, keys and pads, which contain both loops and multisamples. The size is 189 MB RAR.

89 Guiro Percussion Samples

No_Use has released a set of 89 guiro percussion one-shot samples in 16Bit WAV format.

Nothing fancy at all, 16bit/44,1 mono unprocessed, no different velocities, no pre-done sample mapping, just the wav's..
Works best imo when you assign a few samples of the different folders to random or round robin in your favourite sampler.

The collection is split in 3 parts: downstroke, upbeat and upstroke. All samples are copyright free.

FLP File: Slow Piano Track

This is a short track I made this week, it is a piano pop beat melody at 90 beats per minute. I used only FL Studio native plugins, you will not need additional plugins to open it properly.
And as usually this one is completely free and can be used/ modified in any way, you don't need to ask for permissions.

Dealazer strikes again with a killer Sytrus presets pack! Last week he contacted me via e-mail and asked me to share with you his latest creation- 445 Dealazer Sytrus Presets 2011.

All presets made with hard days accomplishes, most of them were made out of DX7 synths presets. Hope ya will make good music now ;) And as you did really know for sure this pack is gonna kick ass, even other vsti's can't really comply to what Sytrus gives out of sound!

The pack is split in three parts each one being filled with pads, arps, basses, leads effects/ percussions and more. The presets are mainly for electro, house and dubstep, but you will use them for sure in another music genres too. Enjoy!

500 Industrial Loops

MusicRadar released 500 free industrial samples, a free collection of loops previously featured on Computer Music magazine's cover DVD.
SampleRadar hasn't done a day's manual labour in its life - it's every inch the delicate-skinned desk jockey - but that doesn't mean that it can't appreciate the value in a bit of industrial noise.

And that's precisely what's on offer in this week's collection: we hope you find these samples suitably nasty and in-yer-face, but if not, just distort them some more.
The samples are split in five construction kits, each of which contains loops, hits and multisamples. All samples are in WAV 24bit WAV format and the file is 466 MB ZIP.

Hey, Lucky Flaush, I started a track the other day , but I don't want to continue on it ,so i was wondering if you would like to upload it to your fl site...
...Plus there's a link on there to download the flp file (& other stuff needed) the plugins used are native to fl...

Kent Loop Collection Vol 8 – Tec Synth

Kent Sandvik has released Kent Loop Collection Vol 8 – Tec Synth, a loop collection available for free download, the only restriction being "you are not allowed to make crappy music with these".

This is a collection of various synthesizer AppleLoops. 30 moog modular SW plugin loops, 30 NI Absynth, 30 Vanguard and 15 OSCar loops. They are very techno pattern centric even if some of the other loops are athmosperic and melodic.

Yamaha PSS-790 Drum Kit

Hardballs Records released Yamaha PSS-790 Drum Kit, a free sample pack filled with drum sounds from the vintage Yamaha PSS-790.

“Listen to this”, said one of my composer friends, and then I heard a childish song with the sound of the 80’s – a sound so familiar and so close to my heart. The melody and arrangement had a light hint of retro and synth-pop, and I was especially interested in the powerful, lo-fi percussions.

I found out that the song was written using the Yamaha PSS-790, which came out at the end of the 1980’s, surprisingly large for a toy synth, with mini-keys, a wide range of sounds and an excellent design in tune with the spirit of the 80’s.

The pack is 11.6 MB extracted and contains 51 samples in 44.1 khz 24 bit stereo Aiff format.
