Prime Loops have released Deep House Tools, a collection featuring deep and secretive House Bassline Loops, Drum Loops, Drum One-Shots, Organ Loops, Percussion Loops, SFX Loops and Synth Loops.
Deep House Tools- the WAV edition weighs 547 MB (470 MB compressed); other popular formats are Apple Loops, Ableton Live, Reason ReFill and Rex2 Loops.
Just like the author claims, the goal was the immediacy and usability, “not re-inventing the hot water”. These loops just work straight out of the box, they are well structured and accessible.
What I appreciate is the drum loops come also in the stripped versions, they are split into channels which makes the music creation process a great experience. For example, you may not want to use a full drum loop (well, the artistic conscience…) but you like, let’s say the snare pattern. Just locate the corresponding loop with snares isolated and add kicks, toms and hats as you prefer. The result will be unique and why not, yours.
Another big plus are the Organ Loops folder featuring 5 “falsetto” loops in Detroit house style and the Synth Loops folder filled with 69 various synthetic visions: rich pads, expressive riffs, catchy synthlines, sidechained hooks, vintage plucks and much more. All melodic loops have an analog feel.
All loops are labelled with BPM and key note info. The loops are built at 124 beats per minute, but being acidized, they will take any BPM form around this number. I recommend a maximum of 130 and a minimum of 120.
