Converse Rubber Tracks Sample Library is a project started at Rubber Tracks – community based recording studio in Brooklyn, NY, where emerging musicians of all genres can apply for free studio time.

As the culture of music changes and as technology evolves, creative power is increasingly concentrated in the hands of individual musicians. There is no more need for the multi-million dollar budget to make a record; a hit can be produced in a bedroom, a garage, or even in transit.

The Converse Rubber Tracks Sample Library is a royalty-free library of one shots, loops, and stems recorded at Rubber Tracks studios. Created in partnership with Indaba Music, the library will provide a unique resource for musicians all over the world at no cost. Creators are free to explore, download, experiment, and create using library samples and are empowered to utilize the resulting works in unlimited ways.

At this moment, The Converse Rubber Tracks Sample Library has 11,089 files split by stems (583), loops (3,304) and one-shots (7,200). You’ll find almost anything, from drum loops and shots to guitar riffs and licks, from bass lines to unusual percussions, from saxophone loops and shots to Hammond B3 loops etc etc. It includes samples from Vernon Reid, James Poyser, Adam Blackstone, Daru Jones, Matrixxman and other artists.

The collection is beautifully arranged, you have multiple filters to apply, for example you can search a sound by musical key. Each sound has its own preview, so you’ll know what you really need.

The library is free to use and all samples are completely royalty free – no strings attached.
