HOFA-Plugins has announced a recent update of its free HOFA 4U Meter, Fader & MS-Pan effect plugin for Windows and Mac.

The HOFA 4U Meter, Fader & MS-Pan is an effect plugin consisting of a peak/EBU-meter unit which is also part of the IQ-Analyser, a volume fader and a dual panner which also allows pannings into the side signal.

The meter has an inter-sample peak-meter (left & right) and a EBU loudness meter (in between). A detailed description for inter-sample peaks and loudness metering is included in the IQ-Analyser’s manual.

Its main features are stereo-mono switch, trim-, fader- and mute-function, MS decoder and an innovative panorama-function you can also use for “more than stereo” panning.

Changes in V2.0.0:

  • revised user interface
  • new feature: extended trim to mute one side
  • new feature: phase flip for left/right separately
  • new feature: drag & drop audio files for EBU/peak analysis
  • improved: disabled meter won’t be processed for reduced CPU usage as simple fader

Formats include Audio Unit, VST, VST3, RTAS and AAX – for PC and Mac, 32 and 64-bit DAWs.

HOFA 4U Meter, Fader & MS-Pan is part of the HOFA 4U installer which contains also a project time measurement tool and an exotic goniometer and correlation meter. In order to download it, a valid email address is required.
