As they promised, Yamaha Synthesizers Europe return with DX-7 Blaze, a new sampled vintage Yamaha synthesizer – this time the legendary DX7.

Yamaha DX7 FM digital synthesizer was first introduced in 1983. With its distinctive sound, it became soon a pop icon, being used in many albums by artists like Depeche Mode, Underworld, Brian Eno, Phil Collins, Queen, Beastie Boys, Herbie Hancock and many more.

DX-7 Blaze contains 35 SFZ instrument patches such as pianos, bells, basses, synths, strings, drums etc. These patches can be loaded in the included Zampler//RX (can be found in the compressed file/ both Windows and Mac installers), as well as other SFZ-compatible sampler (see Plogue, for example).

The WAV files are included for each patch, maybe is a good chance for you to try your hand at creating some patches for One Small Clue’s Grace sampler we wrote about few days ago.

The freebie is available on Yamaha Synthesizers Europe’s Facebook fan page, along with other 3 SFZ packs, (you guessed it,) featuring vintage Yamaha synthesizers.
