Dutch music producer and ufologist(!) Legowelt has just announced the release of a new free sample pack, Legowelt Elektrovolt Roland JV2080 Sample Kit.

Searching for more info on his psychedelic site, I found out that the new freebie is a collection of samples recorded from a 1997 Roland JV-2080 64-voice synthesizer module. Based on a sample & synthesis architecture, the JV-2080 provided a library of on-board sample material and a semi-modular synthesis engine.

Going forward, Legowelt Elektrovolt Roland JV2080 Sample Kit comes up with something different from your usual mundaine analog bleeps. Thus, inside you will find atmospheres, pads, strings, basses, synth tones, sequences, ethno synthesis and much more.

There is a total of 322 samples from the legendary 1997 Roland JV-2080 synthesizer, all delivered as 16-bit/44kHZ WAV files, weighing 203.9MB (compressed ZIP file). The free sample pack is available for instant download at Legowelt.
