With the launch of the new Bollywood Maharaja Drums ROMpler/drum machine, Beatskillz has released a free kit from the library, featuring Indian ethnic samples.
The sounds of Bollywood Maharaja Drums are “extracted” directly from the source, the guys from Beatskillz went to India and recorded percussion instruments with some of the top musicians of Bollywood. Then, back in studio, the sounds were treated with outboard equalizers and compressors to make them sound even more punchy in the context of today’s music.
So it goes without saying that the targets of this instrument are pop, EDM, hip hop, trap and other urban genres. If you’re interested, Bollywood Maharaja Drums is now available at the intro price of $79.
At the beginning of this post I said something about a free package; I downloaded it, tested it and I was somewhat impressed, the sounds can be used in urban beats – adding them an organic and human feel. It features one shots and loops gathered or made from/with the commercial product. Inside you will find 24 one shot Indian ethnic percussions and 14 long loops, which are beats made with the ROMpler.
The download size of the freebie is 176MB, and all the samples are delivered in 24-bit WAV format. It is available for instant download (no registration required).
