The brand new Nova by Tokyo Dawn Records is a free parallel dynamic equalizer for both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Nova benefits of a familiar look like the one of a parametric equalizer, with each band having a full featured dynamics section allowing the processor to cover an impressively wide range of applications.

Nova has applicability in different situations such as master lacking density, the drum bus asking for more crispiness, or a vocals sibilance problem. It comes with an user friendly WYSIWYG drag-and-drop display paired with a classic “knob” interface which gives you quick and smooth access to the various parameters.

The free parallel dynamic equalizer has four dynamic EQ bands and additional high-pass and low-pass filter sections, as well as intuitive equal loudness functions to help you in finding the optimal setting without getting distracted by loudness differences.

Nova covers a wide list of tasks including parametric or dynamic equalization, frequency selective compression/expansion, multi-band compression/expansion and wideband compression. For those who want an advanced version, the answer is the commercial Gentelman’s Edition.

The download size of Nova is around 7MB; available in 32- and 62-bit versions for Mac OS-X (VST, AU, AAX) and for Windows (VST, AAX).
