Noisebud has announced the release of Chokidar EQ, a free/donationware equalizer effect plugin for Windows.

Chokidar is a digital replica of an ingenious analogue hardware that although it was a very good concept, it had a few problems with background noise.

The authors realized that the analogue circuit can be easily translated as a digital version completely noise free, so they created the Hi-Shelf filter at first, with great results. It was the necessary impetus to do whole thing.

Noisebud tells us that Chokidar EQ is intended for balancing mixes in mastering. It is available in two versions, free and commercial, the difference between the two being that the free version has mid/side functions disabled, and comes without hi & lo pass filters. You can try Chokidar EQ Free, then if you like it and want to upgrade, you can opt for Chokidar EQ Donation which costs $11.99.

Chokidar works in Windows 32-bit hosts (or bridged in 64-bit hosts). A valid email address is required for the download link.
