Tritik has announced the release of Krush, a free bit-crusher effect plugin for both Windows and Mac.

Krush is described as a lively bit-crusher and a bit more. With its bit crushing and downsampling algorithms, Krush combines the crispy taste of the digital realm with the warmth of its drive stage and analog modeled resonant filters. A modulation section allows you to quickly add extra life to the sound by modulating any parameter.

Krush is capable of a wide pallete of sounds, from the dirtiest digital effects to crunchy modulated colours, with all the classic and weirdest bit-crushing effects in between.

The factory presets are split into three categories

The interface is clean and intuitive, fully resizable, with tooltips and preferences in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. The modulation section sports 4 modulation waveforms and allows you to set a free or tempo-synced modulation speed. The main controls consist of drive stage, bit depth reduction, sample rate reduction, and analog modeled resonant filters (low-pass and high-pass).

Krush is free and available for instant download at Tritik (Windows and Mac, VST/AAX).
