For this giveaway we teamed up with the talented guys at Beatskillz, to offer you the chance to win their new plugins – Slam Pro and RetroHit.
At the end of this article, you will find out what you have to do to enter the draw for a copy of Slam Pro Mix Phattener + a copy of RetroHit 80’s Drum Machine. But until there, let’s take each plugin in part.
Slam Pro is a “mix phattener processor” with control over the bass section, presence and air, compression, saturation, stereo width and loudness of your track. All these sections of this amazing plugin come with selections for different “flavours”.
There are 3 knobs for controlling the sub bass, thump and low boom of the channel or mix. Next, you will find 3 flavours of heat (saturation), 3 types of “airz” or high frequency and presence control, plus 4 types of “pop” compression suitable to the entire mix and drums/instruments/ synths & sampler sounds. Add the crush limiter and loudness maximizer and you will agree that Beatskillz just created the ultimate channel strip plugin.
If you want to find out more about Slam Pro, as well as our impressions about it, read a review here.
The other plugin part of our giveaway is RetroHit, a drum machine instrument plugin (ROMpler). The recent release from Beatskills brings back the 80’s drum sound straight into your DAW. It provides 50 drum kits of kicks, snares, hats, cymbals, claps, toms, FX and percussion – available in both processed & dry versions.
Individual control per drum is also provided for volume and pan, plus global settings for pitch, reverb, attack and sustain. All of the 600+ drum sounds are also provided as WAV’s, so you can use them in other samplers.
Slam Pro is an effect plugin, while RetroHit is an instrument plugin. Both are available in VST/AU/AAX – 64bit/32bit and VST – 64bit/32bit for Mac, respectively Windows.
