Autodafe has announced the release of Mega Drum Machines, a free sample library for Kontakt featuring drum sounds.
The library contains over 150 samples from old, vintage, obscure, rare and hard to find drum machines. This library started as a personal project, but little by little evolved into something else.
Each kit has custom graphics is mapped in a General MIDI format (but many old drum machines only have 4-5 sounds). Also, they’re divided into 5 groups each: kicks, snares, hats, cymbals and toms. The groups have custom controls for tuning, panning and volume.
Mega Drum Machines is free at Audiodafe, but you will have to add it to cart first, then checkout and fill in your details. It requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt (Kontakt Player not supported).
