Beatmaker has announced the release of Atmos 1.0, a free ambient piano VST/AU instrument ROMpler for Windows and Mac.
Atmos takes its sound from a grand piano, which was sampled from C2 to C9. The 86 samples were processed with 2 types of reverb, distortion and delay. On top of that, an extra sound layer consisting of effects was added.
The free ambient piano sports a simple and clean interface with controls for gain, panning, LFO rate, LFO depth, reverb and pitch bend. In terms of system resources, Atmos has a low CPU usage and works great on mid-range computers.

Since this is a sample-based ROMpler plugin, is also good to know that all sounds that stay at its core are 100% royalty free. In other words, you’re free to use it in your commercial projects.
Atmos 1.0 is available as a VST & AU (Universal) instrument for Windows and Mac (32-bit/64-bit).
The download is 237MB (size for the VST 64-bit Windows compressed archive) and doesn’t require any registration.
