Inear Display has announced the release of Regressif, a free distortion plugin for Windows and Mac.
Regressif is an effect plugin focused on sound degradation. It combines a multimode filter with distortion, as well as sample rate reduction and bit-crushing effects. With this arsenal of effect processors, Regressif can turn the most “innocent” sound into a wall of digital noise. To add more and more sound degradation, there are also two LFO modules and an additional LFO mixer.
Regressif sports a clean and easy to use interface, with each module clearly delimited and color coded. As a highlight, the modulations can be assigned simply by dragging nodes. All of these allow you to quickly design patches or tweak the built-in presets. Besides the 40 factory presets, Regressif also packs a randomizer for instant inspiration.
