Shpitz Audio has announced the release of Granular Synthesis, a new collection of loops created with HourGlass music application.
HourGlass is an amazing application, which, briefly explained, takes fragments (grains) from sound recordings and creates sound textures.
Granular Synthesis comes loaded with 46 free loops in various BPM and recorded in 24-bit/ 48kHz audio quality.
The loops aren’t intended to fit into any specific musical scale, they can be used with success in experimental, avant garde, industrial, dark ambient etc. Due to their rhythmicity, you might feel them suitable for more dance oriented music.
I’ve checked the loops and they’re surprisingly useful. There are some cool sounds inside, I especially like the mechanic loops and the rhythms.
Granular Synthesis contains bass loops (3), drones (5), drone rhythms (5), mechanic loops (15), various rhythms (16), one SFX and a twisted vocal loop. There are only loops inside, with BPMs ranging from 125 to 140.
All sounds are 100% royalty free.
