Freeware Round-up #6: free distortion module, Polymoog & updates

Tokyo Dawn Labs has updated its TDR Kotelnikov, TDR Nova, and TDR VOS SlickEQ to version 1.0.7, 1.0.8, respectively 1.2.1.

The updates come with product update lookup functionality, an improved UI performance, new functions and lots of minimal fixes.

Devil Soundz comes up with its Devil Drummr 1.0, a basic drum sampler in which you can load your own WAV samples. Devil Drummr 1.0 includes a simple drum kit with a bass drum, kick drum, snare drum, tom drum, hi hat, cymbal and clap. Drummr can load WAV samples through each of the 7 tracks, and its states can be saved.

Starting with the 9.18 update of its bundles, besides several new improvements, features and some fixes – MeldaProduction has announced the release of the free MWaveFolder, an analog inspired distortion module with a unique character ranging from mild harmonic enhancement to a complete sound destruction.

This plugin is available only within the MFreeEffectsBundle and MTotalBundle. MFreeEffectsBundle comes loaded with a suite of audio effects you may find useful.

Rossignol Studio have updated their Orgue Barbarie, a free NI Kontakt 5 instrument featuring a barrel organ. Current version comes with reverbs, the crank noise of a barrel organ and enhanced GUI. Download size is 32MB ZIP.

Keep an eye on Rossignol Studio, as they announced Bouche à Beat, a new free instrument for Kontakt to be launched soon.

Continuing with free Kontakt instruments, last week Synth Magic has (obscurely) released a new version of its Wonky Tape Polymoog. It contains sounds from a Polymoog 203a and a basic home reel to reel tape.

The first version was released in January, and with the recent update, additional adjustment and presets have been added.
