Rosen Digital Audio has announced the release of Pulse, a free effect plugin (VST/AU) for Windows and Mac.
Pulse is a cabinet simulator effect plugin featuring a dual impulse response convolver. It is designed to be used in conjuction with guitar (pre)amplifiers, be they software plugins or hardware.
Pulse is designed for live performances as well as for tracking or mixing. It performs real-time sample rate conversion, is easy to use and CPU friendly. The interface is intuitive, with two IR loaders (they support WAV. AIFF and RAW) and A/B control. It has a blend mode with control for phase, as well as dual HP/LP filters and mono/dual-mono/stereo routing.
See a video presentation to understand the purpose of it:
As you see in the image below, Pulse is a re-skinned NadIR – free impulse response cabinet by Ignite Amps. A slightly different GUI to which it was added A/B control, but same time, the quality control found in NadIR is removed.

Also featured in Pulse is the Pulse Cab IR, a built in impulse response that is activated immediately when the plugin is first loaded. The Pulse Cab IR was made by Alex Nasla & Rob Rosen to offer the widest frequency palette for all playing and tone styles.
