Smack Labs returns with SL84 Console EQ, a free equalizer VST effect plugin for Windows.
SL84 Console EQ is based on a British “80 series” console module equalizer, trying to capture the sound and “Rock ‘n’ Roll” vibe of this vintage piece of hardware.
Using IR technology for the design, the SL84 features true frequency response of the original hardware module. The author says that just adding the SL84 on every track of your session, you will notice a subtle effect on your project.
This free equalizer VST has the EQ and filter curves modelled after the “80 Series” hardware, a Hi Q setting for the mid-frequency EQ band, and EQ and filter bypass button.
SL84 Console EQ was written within Flowstone using Ruby programming language and its included modules. That’s why it is available as 32-bit VST plugin for Windows only, but using jBrigde or similar solutions, you can load it without any problems inside 64-bit DAW’s. You can load multiple instances of it because is very CPU friendly (requires few system resources).
SL84 free EQ VST plugin is available for instant download, no registration being required.
