BeatMaker has announced the launch of Horror Box, a free ROMpler instrument plugin for Windows and Mac operating systems.
Horror Box is intended for all sound designers and producers looking to create or add terrifying sound passages. You can combine the nine presets included with the four layers to get new and spectral sounds.
Horror Box is built in the style of the other BeatMaker plugins, with an easy to understand interface. There are a filter with low pass and highpass, controls for LFO rate and depth, as well as drop-down menus for LFO waveform, source and destination. Plugin structure is completed by an amplitude envelope with attack and release and a simple reverb module.
In total, you have a choice of 9 presets and 4 layers for in-depth sound shaping. 108MB of size on disk is required at installation, while the download size is only 70MB due to compression. Speaking of compatibility, Horror Box is given as VST & AU formats for Windows and Mac OSX platforms and works flawlessly in all popular DAW’s including FL Studio.
