Xylophoner Kontakt Instrument by Pulseha Is Free Until November 10th

Pulseha has announced a few days ago that is offering its brand new Xylophoner for free until November 10th (reg. $5).

Xylophoner is a sample-based virtual instrument for Native Instrument Kontakt. At its base stay 60 xylophone samples and a sub-bass sample, along with 2 velocity layers and one sub-layer. The samples were recorded in 24-bit/44.1kHz quality, then transposed into the instrument using NCW lossless compression.

Moving on to the interface, we find a relatively modern look in the style of the previous Pulseha instrument – namely the freeware Toy Upright Piano. One thing to be appreciated is how the controls are arranged, they’re airy and clearly delineated in modules. Surely Xylophoner is not a difficult instrument to understand.

From left to right we find a module for sub, low & high volumes, a simple amplitude envelope with just attack and decay, as well as an arpeggio module with swing button. There is only one effect, a reverb unit with 11 reverb types – identical to the one used on Toy Upright Piano. But in my opinion, enough to spice up the sound a little.

In order to work properly, Xylophoner requires a full version of Native Instruments Kontakt (v5.6.6 or higher). With the free Kontakt Player you can use the library for only 15 minutes with each opening.

Download Xylophoner now at Pulseha website (no registration required).
