Luis Valoyes has announced the release of Play Some Drums, a free drum sampler VST instrument for Windows created with Maize Sampler.
Play Some Drums is a simple instrument plugin created to let you add some drums to your productions. The sound is not perfect and polished, so Play Some Drums may be aimed at quick drum scoring, loading MIDI drum loops and/or testing different rhythms. Play Some Drums uses the standard GM mapping, so most of the existing MIDI drum loops that you can download online will work fine with it.
As presets, there is a single drumkit inside, with sounds for all the five drum tracks: Kick, Snare, Hi-hat, Tons and Cymbals. Every track has its own volume fader, and this is the only setting available. Globally, you can apply reverb and set the volume.
Play Some Drums is available as VST instrument plugin, 32- and 64-bit, for DAW’s running on Windows.
