Recently, I’ve been making a series of sound design tutorials using GMS. My goal with these videos is to give the opportunity to anyone using FL Studio, who is interested in learning more about sound design, a chance to do so without needing to spend money on expensive virtual synths.
GMS (Groove Machine Synthesizer) comes with all version of FL Studio (Fruity Edition, Producer Edition, etc), and is a very versatile and powerful synth that you can really get quite a lot out of.
In this video, I’m experimenting with recreating some old school Rusko inspired dubstep bass sounds. I also created 5 GMS presets that you can download for free to use or analyze. Plus, toward the end of the video, I’ll be going over some techniques that you can implement to tweak the presets and make some unique sounds.
