Acon Digital has announced the release of Verberate Basic, a free reverb effect plugin based on the revolutionary Vivid Hall algorithm found on Verberate 2.
Verberate Basic comes with a simple and intuitive user interface that has buttons for each of the four reverb programs, along with a mix knob that lets you adjust the dry and reverb signal levels. These presets were taken from Verberate 2 in order to showcase the quality and versatility of the algorithm:
- Plate – realistic simulation of plate reverb with the typical frequency dispersion and decay properties that give plate reverb the airy touch
- Room – warm wooden room that gives a great sense of room without being obtrusive
- Hall – natural and gorgeous-sounding hall
- Lush Hall – colorful hall with frequency-modulated tails, perfect for synth pads
Please note, these presets are locked, they cannot be modified. Verberate Basic can be a quick solution to add “quality” reverb to your instrument tracks, without scrolling through many different presets and/or tweaking knobs. But if you prefer designing your own reverb, I recommend another great free plugin called OrilRiver, it allows you to simulate various reverb types from small to big rooms.
Verberate Basic is available in VST, VST3, AAX Native/AudioSuite and Audio Units plugin versions for both Windows and macOS (64-bit supported). It does not require any registration, the download is instant.
