Bamboo Xaxophone Free Kontakt Instrument

Fluffy Audio has introduced Rarity, a new series of unusual virtual instruments, “little collection of quirky, crazy and fun instruments to play”. These instruments will be randomly launched in 2020 – they will be ten in total. For all those who collect them all, Fluffy Audio promises a special gift.

The first release in the series is Bamboo Xaxophone, a free Kontakt instrument featuring a bamboo saxophone originally built in Hawaii. It is a chromatic single-reed instrument that looks like a Duduk or a straight Chinese flute.

Fluffy Audio says “its mellow and warm tone could be mistaken as an intriguing mix of clarinet and saxophone, whereas in the upper range the bamboo saxophone emerges for its strong but balanced shrill timbre”. To distinguish it from its metallic relative, they decided to call it “Xaxophone”.

This instrument requires a full version of Native Instruments Kontakt v5.8.1 or above. The free Kontakt Player version will load the library in demo mode.

Bamboo Xaxophone can be downloaded for free until January 31st, 2020.
