Resonance Free Piano VST Instrument Plugin

Canadian developer SampleScience has announced the release of Resonance, a free piano VST instrument plugin (ROMpler) based on samples and basic effects.

Resonance is a piano plugin designed by combining short acoustic piano attack samples and a piano’s body resonance physical model. Inspired by the music of Nils Frahm, Resonance is perfect for fast arpeggios and emotional riffs. Full of beautiful imperfections, rich tones, and subtleties, Resonance will be an essential part of your arsenal. Best of all, Resonance is completely free!

Features:

  • multi-sampled acoustic piano
  • 676 MB of samples
  • multi-LFO
  • room reverb
  • highpass/lowpass filter
  • amplitude range controls
  • 3 voice modes: polyphonic, monophonic, and legato

Resonance is free/donationware. Plugin versions available are VST and VST/AU for DAWs loaded in Windows, respectively macOS.

Another great free piano instrument is Rare Groove Piano, a library by Spitfire Audio that loads in LABS. If you’re looking for something that simply does its job without installing additional software, try out Upright Piano by 99Sounds, which is perfect for modern pop productions.
