Wavesfactory has announced the release of version 2.0 if its SnareBuzz free snare rattle simulator plugin for Windows and macOS.
SnareBuzz is an audio plugin that simulates the sympathetic resonance produced by the wires of a snare drum when another sound source is playing near. You may have a snare track recorded with only a microphone on the top head – use the free SnareBuzz plugin to add the effect of the bottom head. Or you can use it as a psycho-acoustic effect for bringing realism to your tracks.

SnareBuzz is available for macOS and Windows in Audio Units, VST, VST3 and AAX plugin formats (64 -bit only).
Cassette Transport is another Wavesfactory new free plugin; it simulates the sound of tape start/stop, plus includes noises from the physical buttons and rotor of a real Cassette unit. Both SnareBuzz and Cassette Transport are perfect for sound design.
